I have always loved the flying eyeball image that has graced many a poster. So, I decided to create the same image in my Destroy style.
In the 80's, I use to be a big fan of the Panama Kid's rendtion depicted in the book "Style Wars".
When I did a little more research, I saw Rick Griffin's amazing versions from all his poster work. It completely resonated with me.
These will be available next week or when my schedule permits!
I have always been a big fan of the book Animal Farm. Here is my take on the 1% with both the Greedy Pig and the Enforcing Swat Cop. Septerhed follows suit with his dogs. Enjoy!

Well, I am back in LA.
Finally, after venturing to Florida to paint probably one of the biggest walls ever in a long time, I can rest. My accomplice in this undertaking would be my cousin the notorious NEON BA Crew. The piece we created says "God is Great" in Armenian. Being of Armenian descent, both Neon and I decided it would be a noble thing to create an entire piece in the language of our elders. For me, it was a way of paying homage to our ancestors.
I painted the lettering using both a brush and spray paint. The walls spans about 200 ft. and is around 20 ft. high. Needless to say, the elements were not that kind to us. Aside from wind, rain, and anything else mother nature could dole out, we had to complete the work in no less than 5 days! I honestly think we had the hottest section of the compound to paint.
Painting this wall was my spiritual journey. I remember several times looking out from my scaffolding thinking about the people in my life ( alive or dead). I pondered on what a piece in Armenian would mean to a non-Armenian. I thought about how maybe this was my penance to God to even paint a piece of this size with a brush. Also, especially because of all the media coverage this event gets, I knew that I had to bring my A game. I was also surround by some of the great artistic visionaries I have grown to know. I did not want to disappoint. These friends included AXIS, HASTE, PASTIME, KOFIE, BAM, NEON, ESTRIA, VOGUE, APEX, JASE and CHOR BOOGIE.

U.S. law enforcement agency petitioned Google to take down a YouTube video showing police brutality, the web giant revealed in a new report.
Google said it refused the request, placed sometime between January and June of this year, though it did not specify why.
"We received a request from a local law enforcement agency to remove YouTube videos of police brutality, which we did not remove," Google wrote in its Transparency Report. "Separately, we received requests from a different local law enforcement agency for removal of videos allegedly defaming law enforcement officials. We did not comply with those requests, which we have categorized in this Report as defamation requests."
Of the 757 items that Google was asked to remove by the U.S. government in the first half of 2011, eighty percent were motivated by allegations of defamation.

Yet again, the City of LA has gone bonkers and decided to hurt our freedom of speech. Not one to take this sort of thing lightly, Saber AWR has both spoken out publicly and in the heavens,, literally, about it.
Check out Saber's response to what could be a real problem for any artist.
Needless to say, this sort of thing is just plain unconstitutional. We do remember what Freedom of Speech is, right?
